With my backwards chair, I want to challenge the idea of how to conventionally sit in one - facing forward, and our backs against the, well, back. Unconventionality is oftentimes frowned upon, but what if a chair was meant to be sat in against the norm? Through my object, I want to evoke a feeling of informality, to give us a place where we can sit, work, relax, and forget some of the rules we have placed upon our relationships with objects.
